I believe that when a space feels safe, warm, and grounded in curiosity, it allows us to explore what shapes your life- and create room for lasting change.
Get to know me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). As your counselor, my goal is for you to feel safe and cared for when in my presence. I value honesty, empathy, and humor within the therapeutic relationship. In our time together, we will work alongside one another to understand your story and what makes you uniquely you. We all have a story that deserves to be met with compassion and curiosity.
I am a North Carolina native and completed my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at UNC Charlotte and my Master’s in Christian Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. When I’m not in session, I love catching up on television series (who says trash tv can’t be therapeutic?), cooking and baking (I’ll never turn down a sweet treat!), and spending time with my husband and daughter (a proud member of the girl mom club!). You can always find me perusing a thrift store with a coffee (iced, please!) in hand.
It’s important for you to know
Being a counselor is one of the greatest joys of my life. Walking alongside men, women, and couples as they work to grow, heal, and step outside their comfort zones has changed me for the better. I am inspired by the courage and resiliency of my clients day in and day out. It is a privilege to witness the courage it takes to move through pain and toward healing, and nothing brings me more joy than helping nurture the hope that makes that journey possible.
As a Christian, I believe every human being has dignity, worth, and value. As a seminary graduate, I have been uniquely trained to integrate Christianity and psychology, coupling faith-based principles with evidence-based counseling modalities. If you would like to incorporate Christianity into our sessions, I would be happy to do so. If Christianity is not your faith tradition, please know that I respect you and your beliefs and will never impose my beliefs on you.
